Shwadhin Sharma, PhD, is Professor of Information Systems at California State University, Monterey Bay. He teaches data analytics, decision science, and information systems, emphasizing analytical methods and emerging technologies for real-world business problems.
His research examines the behavioral and organizational dimensions of information technology, with interests spanning artificial intelligence, privacy and cybersecurity, and technology adoption and discontinuation. His research has appeared in journals including International Journal of Information Management, Information Technology & People, Computers & Security, Behaviour & Information Technology, and Journal of Computer Information Systems. He has also published book chapters, business cases, and analytics-focused teaching cases.
He serves on academic editorial boards, has held guest editorial roles, and has served in multiple leadership positions in the Association for Information Systems’ SIGDSA, including Chair.
