Online MBA for International Students

We encourage international students to apply for CSU Monterey Bay's Online MBA program. The flexibility of this learning platform and the accessibility of resources makes CSUMB online a good choice for students from nations around the world, located on military bases, or on the move. When you learn online, your campus is wherever you are.

Foreign Credit Evaluation

Applicants who earned their bachelor’s degrees from colleges or universities outside the United States must utilize services approved by CSU Monterey Bay to have a course-by-course evaluation performed of their undergraduate transcript(s). Please contact the international admissions team at internationaladmissions@csumb.edu for answers to your questions.

You may choose any translation and evaluation services provided by a member of the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES). For a list of members, visit the NACES website.

TOEFL

Regardless of recent work history, any candidate whose undergraduate degree was taught in a language other than English must demonstrate English-language proficiency. Applicants must take and provide scores of either the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or the International English Language Testing System (IELTS). The TOEFL is widely administered in a variety of test-taking formats.

The minimum score requirements for this program are as follows:

  • Internet-based exam: 80
  • Paper-based exam: 550

CSU Monterey Bay’s TOEFL code is 1945.

TOEFL scores must be sent directly to an admissions outreach advisor. They are valid for two years after the test is administered.

The IELTS must be taken within the previous two years and the minimum score must equal or exceed 6.5.
