Rosalyn Thornburg

Assistant Professor of Entrepreneurship

Rosalyn is an Assistant Professor of Entrepreneurship at California State University, Monterey Bay, where she teaches Strategy and Entrepreneurship (BUS 694) and the MBA Capstone (BUS 698).

As an entrepreneur who owns businesses in real estate, property management, and app development, she brings practical experience into the classroom. Rosalyn helps students turn ideas into informed decisions by exploring whether an idea solves a meaningful problem, gathering real-world evidence, and deciding what deserves a first day of action.

Her research examines gender and race in entrepreneurship. Students can expect thoughtful guidance, hands-on learning, and encouragement to question assumptions.

Outside the university, Rosalyn’s life comes in pairs: two children, two dogs, two orange cats, and two fish tanks.

California State University, Monterey Bay has engaged Everspring, a leading provider of education and technology services, to support aspects of program delivery.
